Pacific Islands Club opens Kid’s Care Program

Pacific Island Club in San Antonio is not only a fun place where families can have an instant vacation during the weekends, it is also a safe haven for children on weekdays to help them with school. Part of PIC’s social responsibility is to help the community thus, the birth of PIC Kid’s Care Program that is open to children from 6 to 16 years old.

According to Sales & Marketing manager Katy Hung, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual learning at home has become the new normal. “PIC has noticed that the “new normal” format is not easy for everyone and some families are having a difficult time to balance work life and monitoring their kids’ virtual learning schedule. This is why PIC is pleased to announce the Kid’s Care Program that is dedicated to solve these concerns.

“This new program aims to support children and parents adapt to the ‘new normal’ of school life. Our redesigned conference room will become a learning pod offering virtual learning supervision to keeping children focused on their coursework with little or no interruption,” Hung added.

With the PIC Kid’s Care Program, children can do remote learning under adult supervision and in a very secured and safe environment. For their part, parents can go to work without any worries. “The PIC Kid’s Care Program is from Monday to Friday and parents can enroll their children full days or half days. Full-day Package is from 8am to 3pm with lunch for only $20 per day. For half days, the Morning Package is from 8am to 12noon with lunch for only $15 per day, and the Afternoon Package is from 11:30am to 3pm without lunch for only $12 per day. We have an Hourly Cruiser Package which is $35 for two hours,” Hung said.

“All packages come complete with high-speed internet connectivity, document printing services .and dedicated desk space 6 to 10 feet away from other participants in a clean, secure environment. During the supervised virtual learning in the morning, our Kid’s Care supervisors will help direct students through their schoolwork sessions and will not provide any kind of tutoring or daycare assistance. In the afternoon, Clubmates will organize dynamic activities with the kids before pick-up,” Hung added.

The commitment of five days is needed to avail of the Full-day Package, Morning Package, and Afternoon Package and additional 5% discount is available for monthly Full-day Package subscribers. Participants need to bring their own learning devices (laptop, headphone etc.) and other educational materials. Desktop monitors will be available on request.
