Owner of stolen pickup offers $300 reward

The owner of the pickup truck that was stolen in As Lito on Sunday is offering a $300 reward to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the recovery of the vehicle.

June Alipio, an employee of Kensington Hotel, appealed yesterday to the public if they have information on the location of his red 1989 Toyota Hilux with license plate ABK-269 to call the police or contact him.

With the cash reward, Alipio and his family hope to recover the truck immediately
Alipio and his son have been taking turns scouring villages, mountains, and jungles to look for the truck. Alipio is taking a leave of absence from work to devote his time to locating the truck.

Alipio parked the truck near Guangdong Hardware in As Lito on Sunday at 1:30pm. As he was about to go home at 6pm that same day, the vehicle was already missing. He then called the police.

The truck has an Air Jordan sticker on the back window. Alipio wonders how the suspect managed to steal his truck considering that he still has the key.

Saipan Tribune contacted NMI Crime Stoppers coordinator Jason Tarkong yesterday if they are also offering a cash reward in this case, but he had yet to reply as of press time.
