More than 90 riders have signed up for the Saipan Unity Lions Club 4th Annual Bike Race that will hit the road this Sunday.

According to Saipan Unity Lions Club official Wilfredo Barbo, 94 bikers have registered online and they expect more will turn in their registration form on the day of the event.

Participants in this weekend’s race can enter either the long or short course, which will start and end at Banzai Cliff with a turnaround point in Mobil Gas Station in Tanapag. Those opting for the short course will do just one lap of the race, while long course participants will round the route four times.

The event has two categories: MTB and road bikes. Organizers will award prizes to the Top 3 winners overall in each category, while victors in the 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60-and above age groups will also be recognized.

The race will kick off at 6:30am and registration time will start at 5:30am. Registration fee is $25.

The Saipan Unity Lions Club 4th Annual Bike Race is a fundraiser with the organizing group using the proceeds from the event for its various community projects and services.
