Over 200 attend 3-day SWR autograph events

Over the course of three nights from Jan. 2 to 4, Saipan World Resort hosted Korean YouTubers for an autograph signing event with over 200 tourists and locals in attendance at the resort’s Oasis lounge.
On the first night starting at 7pm, Ddua Dduji TV, and Yekong, and MyLynn TV YouTube personalities hit it off with over 100 people in attendance.
The last couple of nights saw another 100 people or so have a chance to interact with MyMom TV and Let’s Play Yura, and Clever TV.
The YouTube personalities share a wide range of content that caters mostly to the youth and adolescents and have subscribers numbering in the millions. One channel, MyLynn TV has over 1 million subscribers, while Let’s Play Yura has 1.89 million subscribers.
Along with getting their autographs, those in attendance, which consisted of families with young children ages 2 and up, were treated to freebies, games, and raffle prizes throughout the one-hour events.
Children and families were seen enjoying the events and some were even brought up to the stage to introduce themselves before claiming their prizes.
“The turnout for the entire three-day period exceeded all of our expectations,” said SWR local sales and marketing director Michael Babauta.
“We are sincerely grateful to not only the in-house guests who enjoyed the autograph events, but everyone in the Saipan community who joined us. We would also like to thank the YouTubers who starred in the events, as they were extremely friendly and accommodating, welcoming everyone with open arms. The YouTubers also told us repeatedly how much they are enjoying Saipan, and we are sure that the contents they produce will greatly benefit Saipan’s tourism market.”
According to Saipan World Resort chief executive officer Shi Hwan Kim, Saipan World Resort is planning to host more events for both locals and tourists throughout the year. “With this event being such a success, we are planning more promotions and events in 2023, inviting YouTubers, influencers and TV programs to film content on Saipan and at our hotel. And we will arrange for more opportunities for our community to interact with them. We will continue our efforts to promote Saipan as a comprehensive travel destination to the Korean market, as well as to YouTube viewers and social media users.”
