‘Our Sense of Place’ forum set for March 6
Precinct 2 Rep. Christina Sablan (Ind-Saipan) invites the community to attend the next “Our Sense of Place” forum on Wednesday, March 6, at the William S. Reyes Elementary School cafeteria, starting at 5:30pm. The event is a follow-up to the initial community planning gathering that Sablan hosted last October.
“One objective in this upcoming meeting is to present the interactive, online maps that have been created using the data and feedback we collected in October. Maps are a great tool for helping a community visualize important spaces, identify key issues, and make decisions,” Sablan said.
She noted, however, that much has happened since that first meeting, particularly Super Typhoon Yutu and intensive recovery activities in Precinct 2. And some places and issues identified as important to the community in early October may have changed.
“So, we’d like to get more feedback, update our maps, and ask community members to share what they believe the priorities should be for restoring our neighborhoods in Precinct 2 and improving quality of life for all of us who live here,” Sablan added.
Precinct 2 includes Chalan Kanoa, Susupe, As Lito, As Perdido, and Fina Sisu. The forum is free and open to the public. For more information, or to RSVP, contact Rep. Sablan’s office at 664-8829 or email rep.sablanc@cnmileg.gov.mp. (PR)
