The Philippine Consulate General would like to inform the Filipinos in Guam and the CNMI that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas conducts the Guidance and Counseling Program for Filipino spouses, fiancé(é) and other partners of foreign nationals/former Filipino. Republic Act 10364 “An Act Expanding the Anti-Trafficking in Person Act of 2012” requires the conduct of mandatory counseling service for Filipinos in intermarriages. The GCP is also a requirement under the implementing rules of Republic Act 8239 or the Philippine Passport Act of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

In this connection, CFO is glad to inform interested parties that the GCP Online Appointment System at CFO Manila Office (http://gcp-appointment.cfo.gov.ph/) is now operational. The GOAS will enable spouses, fiancé(é) and other partners of foreign nationals/former Filipino to conveniently schedule online their attendance to the GCP. Meanwhile, the CFO Cebu Office will still continue to implement the walk-in, first-come-first-serve basis (i.e. no reservations needed) for their GCP sessions.

For more information about the GCP program, visit the website of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas www.cfo.gov.ph or contact Ivy D. Miravalles and Lucille A. Ronda at telephone number (632) 555-4740 or email address imiravalles@cfo.gov.ph. (PR)
