Old B Bank deposited their first win of the season against WNT Developmental Team, 7-1, last Friday during the Marianas Soccer League Fall 2022 Division B game at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.

The men made their way slowly through the season but have now found their groove after their first goal in the 10th minute made by Kosuke Sato. He opened up the playing field for his teammates as he completed the hat-trick and was backed up by a goal from James Garcia and two from Raphael Zapanta to bring them up, 6-0.

Meanwhile, the players of the WNT Developmental Team have yet to score as the time and ball swiftly eluded them. It was not until after Jether Yobech of Old B Bank scored their seventh and last goal that Kaithlyn Chavez scored the lone goal for her team in the 65th minute.

In the first game of the night, Hana Football Club defeated Shirley’s Football Club, 3-1.

It was slow going for both teams as they struggled to find their footing, then in the 25th minute, Hana’s Sang Hun Lee broke through the barrier for the first goal of the game.

The first half came and went without a single goal from Shirley’s but Sean Gil managed to scope and find a break in their defenses for a goal. However, they had no more goals left in them as Scott Kim and Ace Lee added two more goals for Hana for the final score of 3-1.

Results of the Sunday, Oct. 23, games will be posted in the next editions of Saipan Tribune.
