Ogumoro steps down as Zoning administrator
Therese T. Ogumoro has resigned as administrator of the Zoning office, saying she intends to pursue other challenges.
“I decided to pursue an important plan in life. …I’m glad to be able to continue my services to the CNMI and advise the board as they go through the transition,” Ogumoro said at the Zoning board meeting last Dec. 18.
Ogumoro served as Zoning administrator for 11 years. Yubert M. Alepuyo is, for the moment, acting Zoning administrator.
Last Dec. 20, the Zoning board announced that they will be hiring to fill the administrator position. Applicants are required to have a baccalaureate degree, but preferably a graduate degree in planning or related field and five years’ experience in land use planning, comprehensive planning, or land use administration.
Application submissions should be addressed to Mariano Taitano, board chairman, and must be received at the Zoning Office by Jan. 7, 2020, at 4pm. Applicants must also include a letter of interest, a CNMI application form, and a résumé. Applications can be submitted via email, (addressed to acting Zoning administrator, yubert.alepuyo@zoning.gov.mp), fax ((670)234-9666), mail (P.O. Box 10007, Saipan, MP 96950 USA) or hand-delivered to the Zoning Office, second floor of the Joeten Dandan Commercial Building.
