OGM secures $140K grant for CHCC

The Office of Grants Management under the Office of the Governor has obtained a $140,000 grant for the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.

According to press secretary Kevin Bautista, CHCC would use the funds to buy what is called as an Alaris I.V., a type of infusion pump that delivers fluids, medications, blood, and more to patients.

“When the [money] came in through the OGM, OGM administrator Epiphanio Cabrera was able to work with hospital administrator Jesse Tudela to set the paperwork and procure the necessary items for the hospital,” said Bautista. “The governor has prioritized the allotment for this since May.”

The Commonwealth Health Center, which is run by CHCC, has about 10 Alaris I.V. units that are considered outdated.
