Now that’s one positive move
Good job for our former mayor San Nicolas and Tony Pellegrino. I know things are easier said than done. Just from reading the article about the slaughterhouse and the feeds bring back memories of the past. Many who have been waiting for this have already passed away and I just wish that they are here today to see this happen.
It will take time before everyone can make any income but if we start now, then we will succeed. Too much talking and no action is not good. This agricultural business will provide jobs and sustainable living for the people of CNMI. Agricultural skills are abundant here in the CNMI. Many of us know how to farm and raise livestock. This will help us increase our economy.
It’s been almost 30 years that we’ve been listening to the wrong people and looking for investments in the wrong place. Well, there you go. To live, all we need is food, shelter, and clothing. In order to help each other, we need to start now. Stop what you’re doing now, join, and make money for ourselves. Let’s start our own investments.
Let’s grow our own money, teach our children to plant and raise livestock for their future living. Teach them to cook healthy meals and clean and protect our environment. Guide them to be contributing citizens to our community and our world. Show them that we have dignity and respect for ourselves by helping them learn with what we have and what we can provide. Help them to understand that by sustaining what we have, we can build a strong community.
Show our children that with modern technology, we can develop new techniques to build a better world for everyone. Not sustaining your roots will kill you. Mandate our Education Department to include Agricultural Science in our children’s curriculum. Encourage our lawmakers make laws to protect our natural resources and our way of living. I know that tourism is our major industry but I think it’s time to educate our guests to follow our regulations and protect our environment from any unintentional destruction.
Thank you for hiring Heinz Hofschneider to be a consultant at the Retirement Fund. I think it’s the right choice, someone with a college background to help us with the Fund. Now can you hire our people with college degrees to fix CUC?
I think it’s time this community work together and form an ayuda program for our community. We need to help cool down the madness in the CNMI, otherwise we all end up in doom. Believe me, we can blame our leaders and keep changing them, but things will remain the same unless we too do our part.
Our ancestors always had a town meeting to discuss what are the things that need to be done in the community and everyone present who had skills or knowledge on what to do would volunteer and lead that project. This is what needs to be done. Find those people and ask them to help us.
