Do you want to write a novel? It’s almost time! November is NaNoWriMo—National Novel Writing Month. The challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. Come to the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library from 10am to 12 noon Saturdays, Oct. 8, 15, and 23 for free writing prep sessions, help, encouragement, and some giveaways. Six banned novels will be available as give-aways to participants this Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, in honor of the Banned Book Week. These include Ana on the Edge, Blood Sport, All Boys Aren’t Blue, The African American and Latinx History of the United States, and Perfect on Paper and The Hate U Give.
