Gov. Eloy S. Inos has designated Nov. 21, 2014, as a legal holiday. The Commonwealth Election Commission has set a gubernatorial runoff election on that date.

“Pursuant to 1 CMC Section 6508, if an election is held on a day other than a Saturday or Sunday, the Election Day shall be a legal holiday within the Commonwealth or in the senatorial or election district. Therefore, please be advised that Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 is hereby designated as a legal holiday in the CNMI,” he said.
