Notaries reminded to submit journals

Share

The Office of the Attorney General is reminding all notaries public commissioned in the Commonwealth that they are required to submit a copy of their journals on or before June 30, 2017.

“The law requires notaries public to submit their journal copies each year by June 30 or face sanctions,” the attorney general states.

Failure to comply with journal submissions by the deadline may be grounds for revoking of the notary public commission, or the assessment of a fine of $100 to $500 to be determined by the court.
