NMISF releases calendar for new season
Northern Mariana Islands Swimming Federation will kick off the 2015-2016 season the Distance Double Meet next month at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool.
The Dec. 12 meet is among the 25 events NMISF lined for the new season that should have started in September, but was pushed back due to Typhoon Soudelor and closure of the Marpi pool. The Distance Double Meet is an official timed tournament with Saipan Swim Club sponsoring the competition.
Up next is the NMISF-sanctioned meet on Jan. 9 and it will also be a timed tournament. Another event slated in January (23) is the All Schools Championships, while for February swimmers will be participating in the Meek and Mighty Ocean Swim (Feb. 6) and SSC Pentathlon (Feb. 20).
For March, there will be two events, while three competitions are scheduled in April. The SSC International Invitational Meet will run from March 17 to 19, while the Saipan Ocean Swim will take place on March 20. The three events in April are as follows: Guam LC International Meet (April 1 and 2), Escape from Managaha (April 2), and SSC Sprint (April 23).

The third Guam-hosted contest is the Cocos Crossing on May 29. Only one local event is scheduled in May with NMISF hosting another competition on May 7.
For the remainder of the season, CNMI swimmers are up for a few more off-island competitions.
