NMIS student grabs NJSDA gold medal

Northern Marianas International School student Deidre P. Rosete will be part of the CNMI’s National Junior Speech and Debate Association team that will compete in the nationals in Salt Lake City, Utah, after topping the Dramatic Interpretation category during the regional competition.
She also took third place in Prose during the regionals of NJSDA.
Rosete and partner Andrei Bayking also won second place in the Duet Acting category in the CNMI Thespian Regional Festival, a separate Public School System event. Rosete also won third place in monologue on the Thespian tilt.
Rosete won last year’s NJSDA DUO Interpretation were she represented the CNMI in the nationals in Dallas, Texas.
“I am very happy to have a chance to compete in Utah this year. I would like to thank my family, friends, teachers, and the administration of NMIS,” Rosete said.
Rosete will be accompanied in Utah by her coach Ma. Grace P. Rosete.
Aside from Rosete and Bayking, Christian Aldan also came in second place in Declamation.
NMIS vice principal Jener Pineda said, “The NMIS family is very proud of all its students for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to all the participants.”
NMIS is a private school catering to infant and toddlers, pre-school, elementary. and middle school levels. The school is located at the 4th floor of Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe. (PR)
