NMIFA hosts Japan Soccer College, kicks off M-League

Soccer action returns on Saipan next week with Northern Mariana Islands Football Association kicking off the spring season of the M-League and hosting Japan Soccer College.

Games in the M-League, the CNMI’s premier competition in men’s division, will start this Sunday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field. Five matches are scheduled for Sunday’s opening with Paire Football Club taking on Inter Godfather’s in the first game at 12pm.

Korean Football Association on Saipan will duel MP United FC in the second match at 2pm, while the three remaining matches will have Wild Bill’s vs Tan Holdings FC at 4pm; CNMI Women’s National Team vs Matansa at 6pm; and Kanoa FC vs Thundercats at 8pm. The Shirley’s FC-Word Resort tiff on Feb. 4 will complete Week 1 schedule. The remaining game schedules are still being finalized.

Meanwhile, Japan Soccer School will play another series of exhibition games on Saipan. The Niigita-based team will play first the CNMI U18 National Team on Feb. 3 at 5:30pm at the Oleai pitch before it challenges the CNMI All-Star on Feb. 5 at the same time and venue.

The Blue Ayuyus’ youth team is composed of Saixian Bagsic, Evan Belcher, Carlson Cruzat, Enrico Del Rosario, Joel Fruit, Joshua Galarion, Kennedy Izuka, Jehn Joyner, Scott Kim, Won Jun Kim, Kenneth and Yoshi Mafnas, John Masga, Sean Perez, Dakota Hall, Reniel Relucio, Ryan Relucio, Greg Sablan, John Taisacan, Tyu Tanzawa, Glenn Vidal, Christopher Aninzo, and Jireh Yobech.

Joe Miller will lead the All-Star selection and will be joined by Daniel Agulto, Trey Dunn, Ruselle Zapanta, Ethan Dickinson, Tanapon Unsa, Scott Kim, Kautong Omengkar, Takemoto Suzuki, Yobech, Joyner, Perez, Fruit, Izuka, Del Rosario, Taisacan, Masga, Jershwin Angeles, and coach and NMIFA technical director Kiyoshi Sekiguchi.
