NMIFA holds meeting for fall season
Northern Mariana Islands Football Association and its Youth Committee are calling on representatives of participating clubs to attend a meeting for the upcoming 2015 NMIFA Youth Fall League.
Inputs and questions will be entertained in the 6pm meeting set at the executive office of NMIFA president Jerry Tan at the TSL Plaza in Garapan.
The fall league is scheduled to open on Oct. 10 and will have games in the co-ed U6, U8, U10, and U12B (non competitive) and the boys U12, boys and girls U15, and boys U18 (competitive division). However, the number of matches in each division will be cut short as the league is forced to start the season late in the aftermath of Typhoon Soudelor. The youth league usually opens its fall season in August, but the kick-off was pushed back after Soudelor hit Saipan last Aug. 2.
The shortened fall season has five clubs participating in the U6 age group and seven teams each in the U8 and U10 divisions. In the U12B, there are three teams, while the U12A competitive field has five squads. The girls and boys U15 contests have six and seven squads, respectively, while only three will be playing in the boys U18 division.
