NMI records 39th COVID death
The Governor’s COVID-19 Task Force and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. have confirmed the CNMI’s 39th COVID-19-related death.
Also, as of Aug. 15, 2022, there are two individuals hospitalized as a result of COVID-19.
In the latest update from CHCC last night, it said that there were three new hospitalizations related to COVID-19 from Aug. 7 to 13, 2022. With the latest report saying that the number of hospitalized is down to two, it is presumed that the latest fatality was one of the initial three who were hospitalized.
From Aug. 7 to 13, 2022, 80 additional individuals were confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI total to 12,948 cases since March 28, 2020; two were identified before Aug. 7, 2022. Of the cases recently identified, five were identified on Aug. 7; 19 on Aug. 8 (one on Tinian); eight on Aug. 9 (one on Tinian); eight on Aug. 10; 18 on Aug. 11; 10 on Aug. 12; and 12 on Aug. 13, 2022.
The CNMI is in COVID-19 Community Level Medium.
Of the total cases identified, as of Aug. 13, 2022, there have been 12,853 recoveries; 56 active cases; and 39 COVID-19-related deaths
