NMHC updates
The Northern Marianas Housing Corp. will be open from Monday to Friday at the regular hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm until further notice. You may now contact NMHC at the following numbers: (670) 234-6866/9447/7670.
Charging station and computer use
The NMHC has set up a charging station for cell phones, laptops, and small handheld electronic devices. A computer with internet access is also available to everyone to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance. The allotted time to avail of our charging station and computer is from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Home Loan Program
NMHC home loan clients are being informed that NMHC will automatically defer your loan payments for up to three months. Clients needing more time after the three months will need to submit a written request to NMHC to extend the deferment period.
Housing Choice voucher program
The Housing Choice voucher program (also known as the Section 8 program) landlords are encouraged to expedite the repair of their units to allow the clients to move back into the units. The existing clients (tenants) of the Housing Choice voucher program should inquire with their landlords about their rent share for deferment. NMHC is not allowed to negotiate with the landlord to defer rent share payments. (PR)
