NMDCI to hold membership meeting tomorrow

The Northern Marianas Descent Council Inc. will be having its first-ever membership meeting tomorrow at the Leadership Kiosku in Chalan Kanoa, across the U.S. Post Office.

According to NMDCI interim chair Juan Castro, the meeting will begin at 5:30pm and anyone may join the group the meeting.

Castro said the meeting will present the council’s current construction and bylaws that have been incorporated last July 13. The group consists of about 30 members.

This first membership meeting will focus on establishing the group’s goal of protecting the interests and benefits of NMDs. The group will also discuss other matters that concern NMDs. One issue discussed at the prior meeting was the CNMI government’s loan with the Marianas Public Lands Trust.
