NMC’s Cash for College this Saturday
Northern Marianas College is reminding interested students and community members that the next Cash for College workshop is this Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Building A of NMC’s As Terlaje campus from 9am to 12pm. Northern Marianas College is reminding students and members of the community about the free “Cash for College” workshop that will happen this Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the NMC As Terlaje campus, Building A.
The workshop will be an ongoing session, so participants can stop by anytime between 9am and before the end of the workshop at 12pm.
The workshop will also be held on Tinian on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the NMC Tinian campus from 10am to 2pm.
Participants of the workshop will be provided with personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the Saipan Higher Education Financial Aid, and the CNMI Scholarship.
Staff members from the college’s Office of Admissions and Records will also be present to provide information and assistance with the NMC application process. In addition, those who participate in the workshop will qualify to have their NMC application fee and placement test fees waived for the upcoming fall semester—a savings of up to $75.
Although not required, it is recommended that workshop participants bring a valid form of identification (e.g., a valid U.S. passport, copy of valid application for a U.S. passport, birth certificate, or green card), an official transcript from high school (at least three official copies), Ccopy of 2016 and 2017 1040, copy of 2016 and 2017 W-2 (if not filing), and proof of CNMI residency, including proof of continuing residency. Applicants for SHEFA should bring a valid U.S. passport or a voter registration card.
