NMC updates
Based on Typhoon Soudelor’s extensive impact to the campus and to the community, the Northern Marianas College has announced the following:
• All final exams scheduled for summer 2015 have been postponed until further notice.
• Registration and classes for the upcoming fall 2015 semester have been postponed as well. More details regarding fall 2015 will be announced at a later date. Please continue to listen to radio stations and other media platforms for daily/weekly updates.
• For safety reasons and to conserve energy and other limited resources, college employees based on Saipan do not have to report to work at this time (until a notice announcing otherwise is made). Those employees who live near campus and would like to assist with campus cleanup efforts are asked to meet with John Guerrero, NMC facilities manager.
• College employees who are expecting paper payroll checks (including adjunct employees) can pick up their paychecks at the President’s Office this week from 8am to 4pm.
The External Relations Office at NMC will do its best to send regular updates through email, social media, radio, newspapers, and other available outlets. Please continue to exercise caution as our community recovers from this devastation. (NMC)
