The Project PROA program at Northern Marianas College is inviting high school juniors and seniors and recent high school graduates to enroll in its summer camp program, which begins on July 9, 2018.
The three-week camp aims to prepare students who plan on attending NMC for college success and to provide them with the opportunity to strengthen their ties to their cultural heritage with various activities and field trips.
Participants of the Project PROA summer camp program will engage in morning academic sessions provided by the Community Development Institute and cultural activities in the afternoon with organizations such as 500 Sails, Carolinian Affairs Office, Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, American Memorial Park, and NMC’s Cooperative Research Extension & Education Services.
To qualify for the camp, participants must be a high school junior, senior, or recent high school graduate and self-identify as Chamorro and/or Carolinian, per grant requirements. Interested individuals must be program eligible to participate.
Participation is absolutely free with lunch and snacks provided as well.
