NMC to offer additional IT Boot Camp Training Program

As part of its ongoing efforts to offer workforce enhancement programs, Northern Marianas College is offering an additional IT Boot Camp Training Program to allow more participants to have an opportunity to advance their way toward an IT certification. The additional course will run from Aug. 1 to 12, 2016.

Upon completing the program, participants will be able to prove in practice their command of technology and leverage it to make any organization more technologically proficient and operationally efficient.

With the successful completion of this 40-contact hour course for CompTIA Network+ Certification, students will be able to:

• Compare the layers of the OSI and TCP/IP models, install and configure routers and switches
• Configure wireless network, troubleshoot network devices
• Configure and implement SOHO network, identify and install media types
• Troubleshoot physical connectivity problems and identify LAN technologies
• Perform Network management upgrades and installation, install and configure network security applications
• Describe and understand network access security and encryption
• Describe and understand common threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques, Install and configure basic firewalls

Once students successfully complete the program with a CompTIA Certified Instructor, students will receive an NMC Certificate of Completion. The Northern Marianas College is an Academic CompTIA Partner and will provide each student who completes the training with a voucher for the CompTIA IT Certification Exams.

Register today to reserve your slot at the IT Boot Camp Training. The training schedule for the IT Boot Camp Training Course – CompTIA Network+ will take place from August 1 to August 12, 2016. The class will be held at the Northern Marianas College from 1 pm to 5 pm in Building W Room W-2.

The total cost of the course is $1,500 per student per class. Each participant will also receive PC/Network toolkits, access to online lab materials, and hands-on training.
