NMC Info Session tomorrow
Individuals who are interested in enrolling in Northern Marianas College’s spring 2019 semester can still apply for federal financial aid. This, along with other topics, will be discussed in the free NMC Info Session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 21, 2019.
The information session will be held from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the college’s Olympio T. Borja Library at NMC’s As Terlaje campus.
In addition to the admission process, the information session will cover financial aid options that are available for the spring 2019 semester. This will include the Federal Financial Aid program, which uses the FAFSA.
The Federal Financial Aid program is administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Through the program’s various types of grants, loans, and scholarships, the Federal Financial Aid program is the largest financial aid provider in the U.S.
Attendees of the information session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for the college’s upcoming spring 2019 semester—a savings of about $75.
The first day of classes will be on April 1, 2019, but interested applicants are encouraged to apply early to register for courses and for financial aid.
NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis in elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), bachelor of science degree in business management (emphasis in accounting); associate of arts degree in business, associate of applied science degrees in business administration (emphasis in accounting, business management, or computer applications), associate of arts in liberal arts (emphasis in education, health and physical education, and social work), associate of science in nursing, natural resources management, associate of applied science in criminal justice, and hospitality management.
