NMC to host free information session on Aug. 6

Share

Individuals interested in furthering their education and advancing their professional careers are encouraged to attend a free information session hosted by the Northern Marianas College on Aug. 6, 2014.

The information session, which is open to all prospective students and community members, will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in Room D-1 at the college’s As Terlaje campus. The topics include the college’s new Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Prior Learning Assessment program, and other new initiatives.

College faculty, staff, and students from the different degree and certificate programs at NMC, as well as Student Services representatives from counseling, financial aid, and admissions will also be on hand to provide helpful information and answer questions.

The deadline for submitting admission applications was originally on July 31, 2014, but the college is making an exception for those who attend the information session. Those who plan to submit an admission application for the fall 2014 semester must submit it at the info session.

Those who attend the information session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for NMC’s upcoming Fall 2014 semester. This represents a savings of about $75.

The Northern Marianas College offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), bachelor of science degree in business management (new); associate degrees business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.

For more information about the information session and/or applying to NMC, contact the Office of Admissions & Records at (670) 237-6770, email oar@marianas.edu or visit www.marianas.edu. (NMC)
