NMC to host ‘Cash for College’ workshop on June 17
Northern Marianas College will be hosting a free “Cash for College” workshop to assist students and their parents in maximizing scholarship opportunities that are available to students who are pursuing a college degree.
The free workshop will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the college’s As Terlaje campus in Building A. The workshop will be an ongoing session, so participants can stop by anytime between 9am to 12pm. The workshop will also be held on Tinian on June 20, 2017, at the NMC campus from 10am to 2pm and on Rota on June 22, 2017, at the NMC campus from 10am to 2pm.
Participants of the workshop will be provided with personal, step-by-step assistance in completing college financial aid forms, focusing especially on forms for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the Saipan Higher Education Financial Aid, and the CNMI Scholarship.
Staff members from the college’s Office of Admissions and Records will also be present to provide information and assistance with the NMC application process.
It is recommended that workshop participants bring a valid form of identification, an official transcript from high school (at least three official copies), copy of 2015 1040, copy of 2015 W-2 (if not filing), and proof of CNMI residency, including proof of continuing residency. Applicants for SHEFA should bring a valid U.S. passport or a voter registration card.
