Representatives of the Northern Marianas Business Alliance Corp., having just returned from a door-knocking visit in Washington, D.C., will be the featured speakers at the monthly membership meeting of the Society for Human Resource Management-NMI Chapter on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club.

The NMBAC will provide information on efforts to update the expired CNMI Prevailing Wage Survey and how this will affect the submissions of fiscal year 2020 CW petitions.

NMBAC will also discuss other provisions and requirements of the NMI U.S. Workforce Act of 2018 or U.S. Public Law 115-218, such as the 30-day “touch back” requirement.

This meeting is open to the public and will provide valuable information for employers, managers, and HR professionals and staff.

The presentation includes the PIC Magellan Restaurant lunch buffet at the cost of $20 for SHRM members and $30 for non-members.  Seats are limited, so reserve your seat by contacting Penny Jones by email at penelope.jones@hyatt.com or Denise Montenegro at denise.montenegro@hyatt.com or by telephone at 323-5867/68.

SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management and has more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries, and more than 575 affiliated chapters. The NMI Chapter is affiliated with the national organization.
