Nine honored as SCS Students of the Month for August

Saipan Community School recognizes its nine Students of the Month for August. (SCS)

Every month, Saipan Community School recognizes nine students, one per grade level, for outstanding character displayed at school.

For the month of August, SCS recognized the following students:

The kindergarten student of the month is Ian Gray. Ian has shown great courage by adjusting to life in kindergarten. He is a kind friend who is always quick to help. He brings much joy and happiness to our kindergarten family!

Aiko Tenorio is the first-grade student of the month. Aiko has shown enthusiasm, attentiveness, and curiosity. She brings joyful, positive energy to first grade everyday. Aiko often asks the most thought-provoking questions that generally lead to great class discussions.

Amia Gray is the second-grade student of the month. Amia is being recognized for her compassion, attentiveness, and diligence. She is a kind and helpful friend to all of her classmates. Amia is always eager to contribute during lessons and discussions. Amia is a leader in the classroom and puts her all into everything that she does at school.

The third-grade student of the month is Jihan Delos Reyes. She has done an amazing job of finding her role at SCS. She readily participates in all areas of the curriculum. Jihan has reached out to other students to build relationships. Jihan has persevered through difficult assignments and has completed projects with her best effort.

The student of the month for fourth-grade is Hiyori Okuma. Hiyori is quick to get started, highly organized, and extremely helpful. She cares about others and works well with peers. Hiyori is a bright, shining star!

Vivian Chung is the fifth-grade student of the month. Vivian exhibits diligence, joyfulness, and enthusiasm. She readily volunteers to read and participate in class activities. She displays leadership qualities by showcasing respect and hard work. Vivian has a great sense of otherness, which is inspiring.

Jose Sablan is the sixth-grade student of the month. Jose has shown the ability to motivate others. He has a wonderful, positive attitude and is always ready for learning. He shows enthusiasm and passion for learning that is contagious in the classroom.

The seventh-grade student of the month is Morgan Finco. Morgan has shown great attentiveness, respect, diligence, and willingness to go above and beyond. She is willing and eager to help out when needed. Morgan upholds a positive attitude in everything she does.

Hilah Bacani is the eighth-grade student of the month. Hilah has taken the initiative to be a vocal leader for her class. She has the boldness needed to hold her classmates accountable for their actions. Hilah consistently demonstrates leadership skills and enthusiasm in the classroom.
