Ngalongalo is new Ayuyu Battalion commander

Kagman High School JROTC executive officer Cadet/Maj. Alfredo Ngalongalo Jr. last May 11 was promoted to cadet/lieutenant colonel as the new battalion commander for Kagman High School Ayuyu Battalion JROTC for SY 2016-2017.

He replaced former KHS commander Cadet/Lt. Colonel Philippe Lacson during the change of command ceremony that was held last Wednesday.

Ngalongalo joined the JROTC program in his first year of high school 9th grade and started out as a private. Then over the years he was promoted to a squad leader, platoon leader, company commander, executive officer, and now the battalion commander.

Ngalongalo said that he never expected to be in such a high position when he started the JROTC program, but with the help of his parents, fellow cadets, and instructors, he was able to achieve this accomplishment.

JROTC has motivated Ngalongalo to pursue a career in the military, specifically in the Army, and he plans to do so be applying at United States Military Academy (West Point). He knows that being in this position can help him pursue his goal.

Ngalongalo thanked his fellow cadets, the former battalion commander who taught him about the responsibilities of his new job, and his instructors CPT (Reserve)/MSG (Retired) James Burke and SFC (Retired) Giovanni Siruelo who appointed him to take on the position of Battalion commander. Also his parents Alfredo Sr. and Ma. Fe Ngalongalo that were always there to support him day and night through the years of the program.
