Northern Marianas College has scheduled its next info session for Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort (Caladium Hall) at 5pm for ongoing students and 6pm for new/prospective students. Last Saturday’s info session, which was held at the Pacific Islands Club, drew more than 200 students.

The session aims to give students an opportunity to learn more about NMC’s typhoon recovery efforts as well as planned adjustments for the upcoming fall 2015 semester, updates to the registration process, and other important enrollment information.

Representatives from the college’s counseling, financial aid, and admissions offices will be on hand to provide helpful information and answer questions. College representatives will also discuss financial aid opportunities and other initiatives.

The deadline for submitting admission applications for the fall 2015 semester is on Sept. 8, 2015. The first day of classes is scheduled for Sept. 28, 2015. Other relevant fall 2015 dates have been posted to www.marianas.edu.

Those who attend the information session will qualify to have their application fee and their placement test fees waived for NMC’s upcoming fall 2015 semester. This represents a savings of up to $75.

NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in education (emphasis on elementary education, early childhood education, special education, or rehabilitation and human services), bachelor of science degree in business management (new); associate degrees business administration (emphasis on accounting, business management, or computer applications), liberal arts, nursing, natural resources management, criminal justice, and hospitality management. Moreover, it offers short-term certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.
