Solid waste division to collect new fees
The Division of Solid Waste Management under the Department of Public Works would like to inform the public, particularly commercial refuse haulers, that with the adoption of new updated and changed tipping fees on April 28, 2019, the DPW Division of Solid Waste Management will enforce the collection of the following fees:
Effective July 12, 2019:
(d) Special waste and construction and demolition waste
(e) Dead animals
(f) Tires
(g) E-waste
(i) Appliance/white goods
Effective Oct. 1, 2019:
(b) Municipal and household solid waste
(c) Garment waste
(h) Green waste

Bank of Guam Saipan branches will be closed July 13, not July 6
Bank of Guam’s Saipan branches will be closed for one day on Saturday, July 13, 2019, rather than earlier announced for July 6, 2019. The bank’s ATMs, online banking and customer support centers remain available. (PR)
Humanities council to host first-ever PRIDE Talks
The Northern Marianas Humanities Council will be hosting a film screening and presentations for its first-ever LGBTQ event called PRIDE Talks on June 27, at the Regal Cinemas, from 4pm to 9pm. The event is free and doors will open at 4pm. The film, Boy Erased, is rated R (restricted); no one under 18 will be admitted due to the graphic content of the film. The first 100 people will receive a free small popcorn and drink as well as a PRIDE T-shirt. The total seating is for 199, therefore seating is limited. At 6pm the movie will be screened.
