New threads for elementary school students

Students in 11 public elementary school were thrilled to each receive brand new dri-fit shirts last month. Over 5,000 shirts were distributed to Garapan, William S. Reyes, Tanapag, Kagman, San Antonio, Koblerville, Dandan, Oleai, GTC, San Vicente, and Rota elementary schools.
The generous donation was courtesy of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, a non-profit organization founded under Tan Holdings Corp. Jerry Tan, president and CEO of Tan Holdings, personally accompanied the distribution team and helped hand out shirts at each school on Saipan. Due to the instability of flight schedules to Rota and Tinian, the distribution of shirts for these islands were pushed back. Rota received their shirts earlier this week delivered by Tan Siu Lin Foundation manager Maggie Sablan. Tinian Elementary School will receive their shirts as soon as a flight schedule can be confirmed.
Each student is set to receive one high quality, dri-fit shirt, custom printed with the logo for each respective school. These shirts, comfortable for all physical education activities, yet dressy enough for Sunday school, are the same quality shirts used for Saipan Soccer School athletes and the Northern Mariana Islands Football Association.
Elementary teachers and staff also received Polo shirts by Ralph Lauren personalized with their respective school logos as well. School representative Naomi Nishimura expressed gratitude on behalf of the Board of the Education, the Education Commissioner, and all the public elementary school principals when donations were received at William S. Reyes Elementary School.
“We are very grateful to Tan Holdings and the Tan Siu Lin Foundation for the generosity and continued support of our public schools,” she added.
Foundation president Jerry Tan shared: “Our family gives high regard to education, which drives our passion and commitment to influence the quality of life in education, sports, and other fields of interest through the Tan Siu Lin Foundation. We can never stop investing in our children. I hope the children will appreciate and cherish this small gesture.” (PR)
