New blood and new life with Democrats

Share

The Democratic governor of Hawaii just lost in the primary and was replaced by a new Democratic candidate for governor with an overwhelming 66 percent of the vote even though the incumbent had the support of the president and millions in his war chest for re-election. This David vs. Goliath race in Hawaii reminded me of how David won in the Bible and what the Democrats are facing in the CNMI against the big GOP and two other candidates who are really GOP—the Giant GOP vs the new and young Democrats. But like the new Democratic candidate in Hawaii, the CNMI’s Democrats are the only party offering new blood and a chance at a new life for the CNMI beyond casinos. I just pray our local voters are as smart as the Hawaiians when it comes to change and improving the CNMI.

The CNMI has often been reminded of Hawaii’s mistakes in our efforts to change and to grow but maybe it is now time voters took note of Hawaii’s electorate success and stance to seek new blood with a new, different, and better approach to governing. For over a decade we have seen one GOP/Covenant politician after another taking turns to lead preach and profess the casino as being our only solution for almost everything. Well, we have a casino and the governor is still looking for other options, which proves the casino is not the solution as preached— just a band-aide for election purposes. I refuse to believe the majority of voters are naive enough to follow a GOP plan that does not know where we are even going to build a casino with no real revenue projections or plans for its implementation. In fact, if you read the law and compare the CNMI’s revenue potential to other cities with casinos you will know for true the CNMI is getting screwed royally so do your homework voters as there is entirely tooooo much at stake to make such a big mistake in voting again!

Personally, I like the chances for our David-Democrats as they are truly trying to do the right thing oppose to playing the evil politics with smoke and mirror tactics that only serve to get elected but offer nothing in the form of real solutions for the majority—only retirees got help after ten years of casino talk. The devil is in the details as the GOP doesn’t even have a candidate for Delegate but the GOP governor is supporting an independent Democrat for Delegate who is not even a member of the local Democratic Party—heller! To make it worse and even ridiculous, Kilili is not supporting the GOP but independents Republicans— this is pure GOP and Kilili smoke and mirrors politics to get elected in our face and voters are supposed to be blind and stupid to go for this ridiculous vote soliciting trick.

The story of David and Goliath has been passed down through generations to teach us all a lesson about good championing evil against the odds and those who didn’t learn that lesson are doomed to repeat the same mistake that got us in the economic mess—voting for a Goliath in a popularity contest when we know David is the better and right choice. So voters don’t go for the GOP’s slogan of “We don’t need to Change” which is really a repeat of “Let it BE” as we should have already learned that lesson. One people for new blood and a new life in the CNMI for our politics, our economy and our society—vote Democrat!

PS: Only in the CNMI will you find the GOP supporting a Democrat and not one of their own—heller! FYI GOP, voters know for true the GOP can get far more accomplished for the CNMI by having a GOP Delegate who is a member of the GOP in the U. S. Congress than having an independent Democrat who is not on anyone’s team in Congress. Kilili’s caucusing with the Democrats in Congress and a GOP governor supporting an independent Democrat to get elected is a whole bag of BS politics so wake up voters or continue to look like political idiots at home and in Congress! I also told you so voters that Kilili was going to sell locals out for the CWs and he did—for true as the CWs came here to work, not become citizens and voters!
