MYPros is kicking off ‘Rock the Vote’ tonight
Marianas Young Professionals, or MYPros, in collaboration with the Northern Marianas College and Commonwealth Election Commission, will be hosting its first “Rock the Vote” booth tonight, April 13, at the NMC Charter Day from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
On-site voter registration will be available during the event with the help of CEC and MYPros members. Interested applicants at the age of 18 and above are encouraged to bring their passport or birth certificate required for proof of residency and to ensure a complete registration process.
“Participating in elections is a crucial part of our political system,” said MYPros president Matthew Deleon Guerrero, “Reaching out and getting people excited and involved in our upcoming elections is an important part of MYPros and our mission to get young professionals in the CNMI civically engaged in our community.”
On the same date, CEC will be at Kagman High School from 1pm to 3pm to register community members to vote. Faculty, students, family members, friends, and the rest of the community are encouraged to participate and be eligible to vote this November 2018.
After the NMC Charter Day, MYPros “Rock the Vote” will be at the Flame Tree Arts Festival from April 26 to 29 and at Saipan Southern High School MYPros is a community organization with the goal of to connect passionate young professionals with opportunities to grow and engage socially, professionally, and civically for the benefit of the Commonwealth.
