MyPros to host first Girls Camp

Share

The Marianas Young Professionals is looking at organizing its first Girls Camp for teen girls.

In an interview with MyPros board director Sheila Babauta at the Rotary Club of Saipan’s weekly meeting at the Hyatt Regency Saipan’s Giovanni restaurant, one of MyPros’ current projects is to create a Girls Camp for young women to be educated on how to handle issues that women face these days.

Many of the issues women face today deal with toxic relationships, family planning, self-image, and more.

The MyPros’ Girls Camp will be a safe space for high school girls to discuss the importance of a healthy relationship, safe sex, self-confidence, contraceptives, esteem, and family planning.

Many of these topics are not commonly discussed at home or are not explained in depth at school and MyPros believes that these are important topics to learn at a young age.

MyPros has already started reaching out to various high schools to urge young women to take advantage of the Girl’s Camp.

The camp is scheduled sometime in April.
