Jan. 25 will be extra special for all young professionals in the CNMI.

It’s the MYPros M3: Kick-Off Membership Meet with a cocktail party to be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Aqua Resort Club poolside from 5pm to 9pm. This is a perfect opportunity for new members to join as the purchase of a $40 ticket will be automatically counted as an annual membership fee.

The guest speaker for the membership meet is the Pulitzer Prize photojournalist Nancy Borowick, whose photo series depicting her mother and father’s battle against cancer is world-renowned. Borowick currently resides in Guam and made her way to Saipan for the first time last year.

This is the first event of the year for the Marianas Young Professionals group, or MYPros, which was founded in 2015 and is an organic, independent organization that aims to provide young professionals with unique opportunities for professional development, entrepreneurial endeavors, networking, mentoring, and civic engagement. MYPros is known to host networking, professional and must-go-to events throughout the year.

“Our group believes in upscaling young professionals and businesses to better our community. We are excited for this kickoff and encourage not only young professionals but for our community,” said MYPros vice president Nola Hix.

MYPros encourages employers to reward their young employees by purchasing tickets to this event for them.

“We’d like to give your business this opportunity by assisting your young professionals to join us. Every business has potential young employees, who go above and beyond the criteria, who exceeds expectation you’ve set and more. Reward them by helping them improve skills through forums, get involved in the community, and network with other businesses that can better your company. This is the best solution for your marketing team to invest in,” said 2017 MYPros president Matthew Deleon Guerrero.

Tickets are $40 each and includes the annual MyPros membership fee. Purchase tickets by emailing mypros.670@gmail.com or visit them on Facebook for more details at www.facebook.com/mypros670. (PR)
