The Marianas Visitors Authority held its annual Marianas three-city roadshow in Japan on March 4-6, 2019, providing details of the Marianas a tourist destination to travel agents and media.

Over 200 major Japanese travel agents attended the seminars held on March 4-6, 2019, in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.

The seminar series is designed to provide Japanese travel agents with the latest information on this beach resort destination, arming them to better sell the destination and develop new tour packages.

“Of course, the focus of this year’s roadshow was Skymark Airlines’ commencement of direct service between Tokyo and Saipan, information that was well received by the travel industry,” said MVA marketing manager Thomas Kim. “We also emphasized the importance of the Japanese visitors to the Marianas and provided updates on the recent ‘Resident Instagrammer’ program we have undertaken.”

The seminar and the workshop was also supported by destination stakeholders engaged in Mariana’s tourism, including Asiana Airlines, United Airlines, Aqua Resort Club Saipan, Kanoa Resort Saipan, Grandvrio Resort Saipan, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Kensington Hotel Saipan, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Laolao Bay Golf & Resort, Rota Resort & Country Club, PDI, T Galleria Saipan by DFS, Mariana Ocean/Mariana Grand Service, and Kan Pacific. In addition to a general overview by the MVA, presentations were made by tourism partners. (MVA)
