MVA, Miss Marianas head to JATA

Miss Marianas 2016 Peachy Quitugua travels today with Marianas Visitors Authority marketing team to the 2016 JATA Tourism Expo in Tokyo until Sunday.

MVA will host a signature booth of scheduled activities at the expo some of which will be photo opportunities with Quitugua, traditional coconut candy making and tasting as well as coconut palm weaving.

Stellar Marianas, a nonprofit organization, is proud to continue to work in partnership with MVA for the promotion of the Northern Mariana a tourist attraction to the Asia Pacific region.

“I would like to thank MVA for this wonderful opportunity to help showcase the beauty and hospitality of our islands to thousands of visitors and Japan’s travel industry,” said Quitugua.

“I look forward to promoting our islands, meeting other delegations, and remind everyone of the excitement and adventure that awaits them here,” she said.

JATA and the Japan Travel and Tourism Association have merged along with their signature events, the “Tabi Fair” and “JATA Tabihaku” to create the JATA Tourism Expo Japan.

According to its press release, JATA Tourism Expo Japan is internationally recognized as one of the largest travel events in the world, presenting Japan as a tourism nation to the world and further developing outbound, inbound and domestic travel “by bringing together the combined strengths of not only the tourism industry, but all industries in Japan and its local communities.”As the ideal forum for showcasing destinations, JATA Tourism EXPO Japan is also providing opportunities for travel professionals to conduct effective business meetings, while inspiring consumers through the power of travel.

Travel professionals from over 150 countries and regions are exhibiting in the event where they directly interact with over 150,000 visitors.

JATA Tourism EXPO Japan remains the focus of many industry representatives as the flagship event where they and general consumers would be able to exchange information while being exposed to the latest travel industry information. (PR)
