Korean carriers that fly from Incheon to Saipan and Busan to Saipan remain strong amidst Delta Air Lines’ pullout announcement on Saipan and Palau routes effective May 6, 2018.

The current Korean airlines that have flights to Saipan are Jeju Air, Asiana, T’Way Air, and Jin Air. These airlines fly the night schedule from 12 midnight to 6am.

Saipan Tribune learned that Jin Air will temporarily suspend its service for three months starting March due to aircraft rotation and maintenance. Jin Air will be back in service on June.

In an earlier interview, Marianas Visitors Authority Chris Concepcion said that the Korean market has been the CNMI’s most consistent visitors throughout the year (2017) and marketing efforts definitely play an important part in that.

“2017 has been a phenomenal year for tourism in the Marianas, buoyed by strong air service and demand from Korea and China,” he said.

“For 2018, MVA is looking to solidify its hold on what it calls the Big 3 source markets—South Korea, China ,and Japan,” he added.
