On Nov.17-19, 2017, the Marianas Visitors Authority joined hands with Dynasty Holiday, Century Tours, Top Development Inc. Shenzhen Professional International Travel Service, and China Youth Travel Service (Beijing) to participate in China International Tourism Mart in Kunming.
Since it was first held in 2001, the China International Tourism Mart has been held annually in Shanghai or Kunming, and it has grown into the largest professional travel trade fair in Asia, attracting the attention of the travel industry from all over the world.
MVA deputy managing director Judy Torres joined the exhibition at Dianchi International Convention Center to meet with a wide range of travel partners in mainland China and personally express the MVA’s appreciation for their support.
“We are very optimistic about the future development of the travel market in mainland China and took this opportunity to enhance the awareness of the Marianas in the market,” said Torres. “We continue to strive to make Saipan, Tinian and Rota the first choice for Chinese tourists on island vacation.”
The MVA has upgraded its Chinese official website, its official WeChat platform, its official Sina Weibo, and other travel information for Saipan, Tinian and Rota to enhance mainland tourists’ understanding of the Marianas.
Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Hong Kong have non-stop flights to Saipan, and nearly 20 cities across the country have opened transit flight. The Marianas is the only American territory offering Chinese tourists visa-free policy, which has greatly benefited the tourism industry. (PR)
