On the heels of the 2019 Xi’An Silk Road International Tourism Expo on March 29-31, 2019, in Shaanxi Province, the Marianas Visitors Authority continued it foray into north China with Marianas Roadshows in the cities of Qingdao and Jinan.

Both cities are important travel gateways for the region, where the MVA is extending its promotional efforts to build demand and attract direct air service to the Marianas.

Former MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion attended the Qingdao Road Show, on April 1, 2019, where he delivered welcoming remarks to representatives of local travel agencies, travel trade partners, and media.

“North China is still largely an open frontier for the Marianas, and we are exploring that potential,” said MVA marketing manager Thomas Kim. “The Marianas Roadshow gives us an opportunity to introduce the rich tourism resources of the Marianas and give updates on our industry to key decision makers in the region.”

With established presence in key China markets such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, the MVA continues to target new markets in the country.

Tourism partners Brighten Travel, TDI, Centours, Incheon International Airport, Asiana Airlines, Impression Tour, Perfect Travel, Skydive Saipan, Saipan Submarine, DFS, and Hyatt Regency Saipan also took part in the event. (MVA)
