If you’re looking for a picture-perfect, Christmas-scape, look no further than Paseo de Marianas and Beach Road, where the Marianas Visitors Authority has expanded its light display this year.
A giant new crystal ball and gift box and overhead light strings have been added to Paseo de Marianas, where Christmas in the Marianas festivities will be held every Saturday throughout December, from 5pm to 9pm.
In addition, new roadside light sculptures featuring the words “My Marianas” and island images such as flowers and shells now join the latte stones and mwar (floral head lei) from last year. A lit ball and hanging ribbon also adorns telephone poles along the route.
“Wherever visitors travel for the Christmas and New Year holidays, they expect a festive and celebratory atmosphere. It’s important to meet that expectation for visitors to the Marianas, too,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “It’s great to also see more businesses getting into the holiday spirit with their own displays, and we’re happy to join with them in spreading holiday cheer.”
The lights will remain on display until Jan. 15, 2018.
