MVA conducts FAM tour with Jin Air

The Marianas Visitors Authority and Jin Air held a FAM(iliarization) tour for industry partners on June 16-19, 2016, to add coverage and value to the carrier’s new, non-stop Incheon-Saipan flight. The FAM tour provided hands-on travel experience of the Northern Marianas and updated participants about major upcoming events in the islands.

Twelve individuals participated in the tour, including Jin Air vice president for Network & Sales Division Kwang Ho Ko and senior manager Hyun Soo Lee, Hana Tour director Yong Hyun Kwon, Mode Tour director Kyong Soo Yeom, and representatives of other major travel agencies and DFS. All of the participants were managing directors playing a key role in their respective companies.

Golf at Laolao Bay Golf Resort and Coral Ocean Point Resort Club was featured during the FAM. The group visited northern Saipan to sightsee at Banzai Cliff, Suicide Cliff, Bird Island Lookout, and other scenic sites. Inspections of Kensington Hotel and Best Sunshine International, Ltd. training casino were conducted.

“For some of the participants, it was their first time to visit the islands, and they returned with a great impression of the Northern Mariana Islands,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “They were amazed with our beautiful and pristine nature, the great scenery of our golf courses, and the new developments taking place in the islands.”

Participating travel agencies were Hana Tour, Mode Tour, Hanjin Tour, YB Tour, Very

Good Tour, KRT, Jau Tour, Online Tour, and Jinitel.

The FAM tour was also supported by Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan.
