HAGÅTÑA—Guam’s Medical Cannabis Program is on the final steps toward implementation. Senator Tina Muña Barnes will publicly hear the medical cannabis bills that aim to strengthen the Joaquin “KC” Concepcion II Compassionate Cannabis Use Act of 2013 and incorporate home cultivation into the medical cannabis program.

“I am committed to seeing this program through to implementation and will continue to fight alongside those patients and advocates who demand that patients suffering from debilitating illness be able to access medicine that they need,” stated Muña Barnes.

The public will be able to provide testimony for Bill 343-33 and Bill 344-33 twice on July 20 and July 22.

“We have engaged the public at all levels during this process. They remain committed to providing productive feedback that will guide a sustainable medicinal cannabis program,” stated Muña Barnes. “We want to continue their involvement by giving them enough opportunity to speak on the bills.”
