MP United crushes Shirley’s

MP United Football Club routed Shirley’s Football Club, 6-0, in their co-ed U13 division game in the 2020 NMIFA Spring Youth League last Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Ian Song lifted MP United to its third win in four games after making a hat trick. He registered his three goals in streak with the first one coming in the 23rd minute and the last two in the 30th and 37th minute.
William Sosa, Miles Linden, and William Lee were the other scorers for MP United with the former starting things out for the team with his goal in the seventh minute. Linden hit the board in the ninth minute, while Lee converted a shot in the 17th , helping MP United keep the No. 2 spot in the team standings behind the unbeaten TanHoldings Fotball Club.
TanHoldings took with No. 4 after outgunning Matansa, 8-5.
It was a team effort for TanHoldings, as three of its players delivered two goals apiece. Kaithlyn Chavez scored first in the third minute and got her second goal in the 34th, while Monico Claridades earned his goals in the 32nd and 65th minute. Sernante Jimenez duplicated his two teammates’ feats after finding the back of the net in the 44th and 70th minute, while Mark Ryan Costales and Tamia Hix chipped in one goal apiece.
BOYS U19
TanHoldings 4, NMI U15 0
TanHoldings also prevailed in the first game in the boys U19 division last Friday after dominating the NMI Boys U15 National Team.
Mark Esalan starred in TanHoldings’ easy win after firing three goals, which came in succession, as the forward scored in the fourth, 17th, and 28th minute. Oliver Fajardo finished the job for TanHoldings with his goal in the 65th minute.
With the victory, TanHoldings is still breathing down Kanoa 1’s neck, as the former has two wins against the latter’s three.
Kanoa 1 12, Kanoa 2 2
Kanoa 2 is still unbeaten this season following a demolition of Kanoa 2 in the second game in the division.
Kanoa opened an 8-0 lead in the first half en route to the lopsided victory.
Andruw Omelau led Kanoa’s triumph after recording five goals, while Jaydee Jose added two, and Daniel Mar Pablo, Jim and Ian Maniago, Ian Lubao, and Merrick Toves made one apiece.
The winless Kanoa 2 got its pair of goals from John Thongaram and John Mark Anastacio.
