Mother’s Day poems

Here are some haiku/senryu from a series of poetry workshops I conducted in the 6th grade English classes of Brenda Safer at Tinian Elementary School. Students were encouraged to write in the language of their choice. Here are their poems for Mother’s Day. The three-line poems have been placed in one line, a slash indicates the break between each line to save space. To all CNMI moms, happy Mother’s Day!
