More tickets printed for Las Vegas Night

Saipan Rotary Club vice president Laila Y. Boyer announced Tuesday that additional tickets for the upcoming Las Vegas Night have been printed and are now ready for sale. This is on top of the tickets they initially produced and were sold since last week.

Las Vegas Night is the biggest annual fundraising activity of the Rotary Club and is slated this year on Saturday, July 14, at the Saipan World Resort beginning at 7pm.

Because of the additional tickets produced, Boyer hinted at the possibility of adding a few more cash prizes, depending on how many tickets would be sold from the additional booklets.

This year’s grand prize is either $10,000 or a brand new Hyundai Elantra. Other cash prizes at stake include $3,000; $2,000; $1,000; and $500 for raffle winners.

Tickets to the fundraising event cost $5 each or $20 for a booklet containing five tickets. Boyer said two more meetings are scheduled for members prior to the Saturday event. Tickets will also be sold on Thursday at the Garapan Street Market.

The program for the event will have the theme “Stars and Stripes” in celebration of Liberation Month. Rotarians are encouraged to dress up in red, white, and blue.

Proceeds from this year’s Las Vegas Night are earmarked for Rotary’s Kagman children’s park project. There will be an orientation for all volunteers before game night. The Rotary is also on the lookout for more volunteers to serve as dealers and cashiers at the event.
