MMAC draws three more sponsors
The Saipan Mayor’s Office, Marianas Variety, and Bridge Capital LLC jumped on the bandwagon of sponsors for the 2015 Marianas March Against Cancer on Tuesday. The Mayor’s Office and Bridge Capital are both major sponsors, while Marianas Variety is a title sponsor.
The Mayor’s Office will be providing four picnic tables, two serving tables, a raffle turnstile, one 20×40 tent, distribution of panels from the Commonwealth Cancer Association office on Middle Road to the event location, and cleaning services throughout the event.

Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang said their office is always there to help. “I support this cause because it affects the community and as a leader our office is always glad to help if we are needed.”
Bridge Capital donated $1,000 in cash. Vice president and chief operating officer Jody Jordahl presented the donation to committee members and CCA staff.
“We’re also supporting a local team. We’re happy to help out. Personally, I have been affected by cancer and other people in our office have been affected by cancer. So this is a great opportunity for us to donate and continue to stay involved in the community,” she said.
Jordahl said that it is their fifth year to sponsor the Marianas March Against Cancer and an individual team.
Marianas Variety donated $3,500 in in-kind contribution that will include raffle tickets and ads.
“Marianas Variety has been supporting the MMAC since the beginning and we will continue to support this worthwhile community event,” publisher Laila Boyer said.
Businesses, individuals, and organizations that also wish to support the 2015 MMAC may donate funds, services, or raffle items. Sponsorship levels include title sponsor (donating $3,000 or more), major sponsor (donating $1,000 to $2,999), or supporting sponsorship (donating $1 to $999).
Other title sponsors this year are Delta Air Lines, Bank of Guam, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Joeten Daidai Foundation, Sorensen Media Group Saipan, and Marianas Variety. Other major sponsors are Xerox, Brabu Pharmacy, Traders Insurance, and Jeff Hofschneider and Friends.
This year’s march will be held at the Hopwood Junior High School field from May 1 to 2. Money raised from MMAC is used by CCA to promote cancer awareness and prevention, provide patient support services, and serve as the liaison and advocate for cancer issues in the CNMI.
