Four businesses became additional title sponsors for the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer donating more than $3,000 each for the fundraising event set on May 13 and 14 at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds in Chalan Piao.
Bank of Guam continued their support to MMAC by donating $3,000 cash, while IT&E will be providing $5,500 worth of services to the Commonwealth Cancer Association and raffle prizes for the MMAC.
Gerilyn Dela Cruz, this year’s MMAC overall committee chair, again thanked BOG’s management and staff for their untiring support in the fight against cancer. “Bank of Guam has been an annual supporter of the MMAC for many years now so we commend them for their continued sponsorship.”
IT&E, meanwhile, will be providing the CCA office a complimentary landline service on an annual basis as part of their contribution to MMAC, while also donating prizes that will be raffled out on the day of the event.
IT&E has also partnered with the Saipan Southern High School to form a team for the 2016 MMAC.
“On behalf of the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer committee, we’d like to send a sincere thanks to IT&E for their sponsorship of the 2016 MMAC,” said Dela Cruz.
“IT&E has been an annual title sponsor for well over a decade so we commend them for their untiring support in the fight against cancer,” added Dela Cruz.
She also encouraged the community to buy $1 raffle tickets being sold by Team IT&E/SSHS for a chance to win awesome prizes at the MMAC event on May 13.
Hyatt Regency Saipan and T Galleria each donated $3,000 in cash that will be used to fund the continued fight against all types of cancer.
“The MMAC is grateful to Hyatt and T Galleria by DFS for their continued support in the battle against cancer. Both companies have been named title sponsors of the 2016 MMAC. We applaud them for their efforts to raise badly needed funds for the MMAC,” said Dela Cruz.
“All funds raised for the MMAC are spent entirely in the CNMI on cancer patient support services and cancer awareness programs so we urge the community to come out and support this great cause.” (PR)
